”Case File #3” is a short film made for IIK! -short movie competition in 2023. The short films script was written by Juha-Matti Arbelius, Aleksander Viitanen and Konsta Ounasti. The production team for the short film includes Leevi Mäntyvaara, Jere Vorne, Lotta Ylander, Juha-Matti Arbelius, Aleksander Viitanen, Konsta Ounasti, Riia Heinonen and Maiju Herranen. Main roles in the short film were played by Juha-Matti Arbelius, Aleksander Viitanen and Maiju Herranen. The short film ’Case File #3’ tells the story of a detective named Aro.
Short film pre-production
We heard about the competition just a month before the date when the movies had to be sent for the competition. The writting group started writting the script streight away and when they had almost finnished script they asked the rest of the groups opinions. We started planning in the production group filming locations and cast and everything else we had to plan before we could film.
Filming
We filmed the short film in 14 days. Everyday was usually different. Somedays we started filming early in the morning and some days we started afternoon and filmed till the night.
Post-production
In post-production, the film was handled by Jere Vorne, Konsta Ounasti, Juha-Matti Arbelius, and Riia Heinonen. Jere Vorne, Konsta Ounasti, and Juha-Matti Arbelius edited the short film, while Riia Heinonen provided the graphics. Once the short film was completed, it was released on YouTube and submitted to the Iik! short film competition.
